Make sure you arrive early at the dock to trade your printed voucher in for your ticket to get on the ferry. The ferry ride was nice and you get nice views of the harbor. The zoo was fun and you can take it at your own pace. Layout was a little confusing, so make sure you get a map at the entrance. Special viewings and feedings are scheduled so make sure you know when they are. Food in cafe is expensive, we just had a large breakfast and only purchased a snack. My husband and I took the first ferry around 9am and were satisfied with everything that we saw by 3pm. I was glad that we booked this tour. There is an extra charge for encounters with the animals that you can purchase, but are not included in the price of this tour. We enjoyed seeing the Taronga Zoo.
This was a really convenient way to have all my arrangements made and vouchers in hand before I left home. The zoo was great with beautiful views of the city. Give yourself time to stop at the Captain Cook ticket counter as you will have to exchange your Viator voucher for a ticket.
The zoo is located on a hillside with wonderful views of the harbor. The gondola ride to the top of the hill gave more great views. We especially enjoyed the bird show and being very close to the tiger.
Great - a visit to Taronga is a must for visitors to Sydney. Watch out for the weather though.
Cruise was on time and staff were very friendly and helpful with loading and unloading our pram.
An easy cruise across the bay to the Zoo including Skyway! The zoo has made great usage of space and layout for the various exhibit themes! The giraffes have an amazing million dollar view of Sydney from their new home. We highly recommend the Bird show and if time the seal show, too.
The harbor tour was fantastic- we saw the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House on the way to the zoo. The zoo was one of the best and the view from the zoo was outstanding!
Our family had a great time! We caught one of the first Captain Cook Cruises boats of the day at Wharf 6 at Circular Quay. It took us through the harbour right to Taronga Zoo where we rode their Sky Safari cable car to the zoo entrance. We spent almost the whole day there since there were so many animals to see, and then caught the boat back. If you printed your voucher, make sure you check in at their ticket desk to redeem your tickets for the boat and zoo entry before standing in line and waiting at the pier/dock.
Great zoo and awesome boat ride on the harbor! Must do while in Sydney!
good value for money, a little confused which boat to get onto since there are many boats on Wharf 6, better ask around in order not to get onto the wrong boat.
It was a very pleasant trip. The zoo worth to be visited you can spend few good hours there. I want to mention that we had iVenture card and doesn't worth to buy it. They say Swipe and go, there is not such a thing, you have to stay in line at each place you want to visit with everybody else to pick up the ticket. And i lost time going to a certain place to pick up the card, it is probably 10 bucks cheaper for 5 events but too much time lost to pick up the card and then wait in every line like you are buying ticket. When we wanted to go with the Hop on Hop off the bus driver told us that we have to go to a certain location to pick up the tickets for the bus, and that because we had the iventure card, otherwise we could simply pay to him and get on the bus. And when outside is plus 40 C walking to a ceratin location is not very pleasant. Just decide where you want to go and stay in line and buy the ticket, is much easier.
Loved it from beginning to end. Get there early to book the animal experiences. We did the Koalas and it was fabulous. Take the cable car to the top and work your way down. There is still lots of climbing but it is the easier way to do it.
Superb full day trip from the moment we stepped aboard Captain Cook Cruises at Wharf 6 Circular Quay.
We would recommend this trip to everyone
This went smoothly. It's a short but beautiful boat ride and same for the gondola, but both are worth the extra money for an extra fun trip to the zoo.
An excellent trip. Very versatile in boat timings to allow you to enjoy the zoo for as long as you want. Leonie was giving a talk on our boat in each direction and was informative with a delightful sense of humour. A really good way to combine a cruise with a trip to the zoo. Be aware that you will not get close to koalas unless you buy a koala experience ticket at the zoo. The keepers are very knowledgeable. There is a large emu strolling freely about who is a bit scary ! It's a lovely place that has conservation as a focus.
