Doubtful Sound Wilderness Cruise (Day 1)
After hotel pickup in Queenstown, you’ll take a boat ride across the sparkling waters of Lake Manapouri — nestled in the World Heritage–listed Fiordland National Park — followed by a drive over steep Wilmot Pass. Your guide stops at scenic vista points en route to Doubtful Sound, where you’ll board a catamaran for a 3-hour cruise around this unspoiled wilderness.
Whether sun-drenched or mist-shrouded, the rugged peaks rising from glass-like waters create an unparalleled scenic backdrop. Search the waters for bottlenose dolphins, rare Fiordland penguins and New Zealand fur seals as you listen to narration provided by the nature guide on board.
After your Doubtful Sound cruise, you'll follow the same route back to Queenstown with drop-off at your hotel.
Walter Peak High Country Farm Tour and Cruise (Day 2)
On the second day of your Super Saver, make your way to Steamer Wharf in Queenstown and board the TSS Earnslaw for a cruise via vintage steamship across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm.
Observe the original steam engines at work from an open viewing area, visit the onboard museum to learn about the history of the vessel, and be be entertained by a pianist playing a variety of old favorites throughout the cruise.
Upon arrival at Walter Peak High Country Farm, enjoy freshly baked goods with tea or coffee at the Colonel's Homestead. You'll have time for a leisurely stroll through the lovely lakeside gardens before joining your guide on a walking tour of the farm. See sheep dogs at work, watch farmers shearing sheep and try your hand at spinning wool while you learn about farming traditions.
After this authentic glimpse of New Zealand farm life, re-board the steamship to Queenstown.
