Overview

Explore the natural wonders of Antelope Canyon, a narrow slot canyon carved by wind and water through the ages. A Navajo guide helps you photograph the shifting light and creamy colors of the sandstone canyon, a must-see amid the splendor of the American Southwest. Views of Glen Dam, Lake Powell, and Horseshoe Bend are included en route from Sedona.
  • 12-hour Antelope Canyon tour with a Navajo guide
  • Drive through the Painted Desert and Navajo Nation
  • Visit Glen Canyon Dam and Horseshoe Bend with views of the Colorado River
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off included from Sedona
  • Lunch and bottled water provided
Start your full-day tour with pickup at your hotel in Sedona. The drive to the Navajo Nation takes you through Oak Creek Canyon via a National Scenic Byway. View ancient volcanoes and the aptly named rock formations of the Painted Desert en route to Antelope Canyon.
On arrival, follow a Navajo guide into the narrow, twisting sandstone cliffs of the 120-foot-deep (27-meter) canyon, where sunlight descends in dramatic shafts. Watch it illuminate the walls of the slot canyon in shifting yellow, orange, and violet hues, and learn to best capture the vivid scene on camera.
You'll also make a stop at the Cameron Trading Post, where Zuni, Hopi, and Navajo artists sell silver jewelry, pottery, and other artisan crafts. Eat a provided boxed lunch at Glen Dam with a majestic view of Lake Powell on one side and a glimpse into the depths of Glen Dam Gorge on the other. Hike up to Horseshoe Bend for dramatic views of the Colorado River from above, then continue on with return transport to your hotel.

The tour was excellent! Our guide Allen has a great personality and made the 3+ hour trip up to the canyon really fun and enjoyable. He told us about landmarks along the way, history of the area and the reservation. We were on time to every stop and never felt rushed. Worth the money, we’d do it again!

We were really looking forward to this excursion, however events beyond control took over. The area had experienced a rain storm a couple of days prior. We started off on our trip and were more than half way there when we learned there had been a terrible incident with a flash flood which collapsed the road. We heard it wouldn't be fixed for a week or so. Disappointed for sure. No ones fault, just a fluke of nature.

Our tour guides were fantastic and very knowledgable . Both were native Americans and gave us a greater perspective on the history our Native American ancestry. Antalope canyon was the highlight of the trip and it was very much worth the price we paid. We don’t think we will ever see anything more beautiful this side of heaven.

If you take this tour ask for Allen as your tour guide. There were only 14 people on this tour so by the end of 12 hours together we were getting along like old friends. But I can’t say enough about Allen. He knows the history, geography and geology of this part of the Colorado Plateau. Plus he arranged to get us a guide who is passionate about Antelope Canyon and show you how and where to get the best pictures

Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend was so worth it! Our tour guide Tim for Antelope Canyon as we later learned from taking another tour is legendary. This has made my memory even more special. True the ride is 4 hours there and back, but Tim's story telling alone was worth listening. Once at Horseshoe Bend Tim offered to take our photos and provided water for our long walk back. Views were amazing. So worth the trip. Then onto lunch at Glen Canyon Dam. Sandwiches, chips, drinks and a chocolate chip cookie was provided. Antelope Canyon is so worth it! Our Navajo guide Leonard has been doing this for many years and knew the best picture shots. He later played his flute and gave a little talk truly memorable. Tour was very organized; I would highly recommend this tour.

First I want to say that the round trip from and back to Sedona was great. Could you drive this on your own yes, but you don't get the history of the area that you do when you have a guide. Plus you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful county side . Our guide was wonderful. Not only did he give us the history of the area, but he had stories of all the old timers that had lived in the area that he had met and spent time with. Loved the stories. Horseshoe Bend was beautiful and he gave us plenty of time to hike the 1 mile and back. What I was disappointed with was the Antelope Canyon photography part of the tour. I am in to photography, I wanted to take my time and get that right picture. But we were with a group of people of 14, we had to stay in the tour and we had a group of 14 in front of us and a group behind us. No stopping to really get that special picture. That part of the tour is on the Indian land and they are your guides. If you just shot pictures with your phone, you would have not problem with this tour. I did get some good pictures, but not what I wanted. If you are a photographer and want to spend more time in the Canyon, I would say make special arrangements with the tribe in Page. Over all I do recommend this tour.
