This 1.5-hour horseback ride begins with a meet and greet with the expert tour guide — and a horse, of course. The horses are matched with each rider’s personality and level of horseback riding experience. That being said, first-time riders are always more than welcome on this unique adventure.
Then head out to the pristine conservation area, including nine distinct Florida ecosystems with an endless amount of natural flora and fauna. Local residents include alligators, black bears, white-tailed deer, nearly 200 species of birds and the Florida panther.
Ride along the same trails that were first traveled by Native Americans back in the 1500s. Take a short walk to explore a floodplain forest and boardwalk. Then ride through the headwaters of Bull Creek, a stream of clear, tea-colored water (known as blackwater) that’s actually clean enough to drink. The water and plant life here help to clean the air, so take a deep breath — it’s the freshest air in all of Florida.
