Explore the sunny landscape of San Diego on this day trip from Los Angeles, taking in this city-by-the-sea's top-notch beaches and its most notable sights. This San Diego one-day tour is a great way to get away from Los Angeles or add some additional sightseeing to your swing through Southern California.
Begin your San Diego excursion at either 6:30 or 7am. Your departure point is either the Los Angeles Farmers' Market or the Four Points by Sheraton in Culver City. Check with the tour operator for exact pickup time based on your departure location. Board your coach, which will transport you on the relatively quick ride down the California Coast, making your first stop off in La Jolla. This idyllic beachside community is home to a collection of million-dollar homes and the scenic environs of La Jolla Cove.
Head next to the fascinating USS Midway a decommissioned aircraft carrier that's been turned into a museum. check out the ship's 60+ exhibits on naval aviation history and marvel at the 25 vintage WWII aircraft stationed on deck. This floating history exhibit is a World War II-lover's dream.
Continue next to Coronado Island, site of the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, known as one of the largest wood-only buildings in the United States. This famous tourist spot has played host to a variety of celebrities, US presidents and movie stars over the years, and was the filming location for Some Like it Hot featuring Marilyn Monroe.
Proceed next to one of the oldest sections of San Diego in its Old Town, first settled in 1769. This historic district, known as the first European settlement on the Western Coast of the United States, features a collection of authentic adobe structures, along with the supposedly haunted Whaley House, plus much more. Stop by the area's Bazaar Del Mundo, a world market, for some souvenirs before climbing on board your coach for a relaxed ride back to L.A.

great tour guide. he was very helpful and knowlegable i would highly recommend this tour. the traffic was heavy but thats southern california.
A very pleasant day trip to San Diego in a comfortable vehicle. Jacob was a superb guide and driver. San Diego is a lovely city so well worth the few hours on the freeway to get there and back. The itinerary covers a few of the city's key sights in the time available so met my expectations of what's reasonable in a day trip.
out of our 3 tours in Los Angeles, this was the most expensive and the worst of the tours. We were three elderly guests, the tour guide told us that he did not make a lot of money and that he would appreciate a tip but that we were not to tell anyone. Then he took us to a navel ship but he had not arranged for parking and just dropped us off in front of the place to go see it. However, since the guide was not with us, we were not allowed in. We lost over an hour just walking around trying to find our guide to pick us up. Lastly, he kept rushing us through the remainder of the things he supposedly wanted us to see and he would add that if we really wanted to see it, we could do it on our own time!! I would NOT recommend this tour AT ALL. Waste of money
