On arrival, head inside the site complex with its visitor center, collect an audio-guide, and visit the massive stone circle to experience its size and symmetry close up. Ponder the mysteries that surround the edifice, and learn the theories as to how the stones were transported and then raised here.
Next, continue to the delightful, UNESCO-protected spa city of Bath, famous for its elegant Georgian 18th-century architecture and connections with 18th- and 19th-century novelist Jane Austen. I will recommend first-timers to just choose Stonehenge and Bath. Cotswolds will just a drive pass-by. There was no stop overs due to time constraint. Stonehenge was 1 hour stop. Bath was 2 hours stop. Going through the Bath museum was about 30-45mins excluding Lunch. Cotswolds was a drive-past. Stratford upon Avon was 1 hour with 30mins of experience at Shakespeare's school.
Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable and provided lots of history and information during the trip. Stonehenge was amazing and the audio headsets helpful in explaining what we were seeing. We really enjoyed Bath and wished we had been able to spend more time there. Seeing the baths was amazing and highly recommended though there was an extra fee to enter. If I had to do it over again I would opt for just Stonehenge and Bath so that more time could have been spent at both places.

With a heavy weight line up of sites to visit: Stonehenge, Bath, passage through the Cotswold, and the Stratford-upon-the-Avon, he entertained us throughout the bus trip with humor, wit and charm. His patience and bonhomie merited applause from my wife and myself. High recommend the trip and the tour guide.

We arrived at Stonehenge well ahead of the throngs of other tour buses and my only regret is that the Stratford portion of the tour does not include a visit to Shakespeare's grave.An incredible day and a wonderful way to see so much of the English countryside in only 12 hours.
