Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Lima at 7am, when you’ll board an air-conditioned minibus destined for Lunahuana. During the 3-hour drive south, you’ll be provided with a box lunch.
The first stop is at Cerro Azul, an idyllic beach from which you’ll take a boat tour that showcases coves and marine life. Proceed to Lunahuana for a city tour that covers the main square, cathedral, and shops selling pisco cocktails and local artisan crafts.
Then, following a safety briefing, you’ll launch onto the Canete River, whose rapids range from a relatively gentle Class III to intense Class V.
Conquer your fear of heights to cross a canopy bridge that straddles the scenic Lunahuana Valley before revitalizing with a Peruvian lunch featuring fish, chicken, or vegetables.
Finally, you’ll visit the Los Reyes and La Reina de Lunahuana wineries, and Los Girasoles bee farm, to learn about the production processes of wine, pisco, and honey. All of the produce is available to purchase as a souvenir.
