Begin your evening tour in central Krakow, where you’ll take off into the streets with your guide.

Travel first to Mały Rynek (Small Market Square) and try oscypek (smoked sheep’s cheese) and other specialties. Sip on some refreshing Polish beer before heading to Rynek Główny, the city’s main market square. As you go, hear more about Poland’s culinary influences and history from your guide, including how exactly the Poles came to hold stew, pierogies and soup so close to their hearts.

Continue to one of the square's hidden gems to sample a hot, Krakovian soup. Learn the signficance of beetroot soup while you eat, and the story behind the city's yearly soup festival.

After following your guide past Wawel Royal Castle and Cathedral, stop to dig into some authentic pierogies. Savor a taste of the ‘real deal,’ stuffed with meat, potatoes, cheese, sauerkraut or even fruit.

Afterward, head to Kazimierz, the former Jewish district that has since been transformed into a bustling culinary hub, with many restaurants still loyal to their Jewish roots. Complement your dishes with a shot of ‘bison grass’ vodka, containing a blade of grass from the Białowieża Forest for freshness.

With taste buds sated, you’ll part ways with your guide here, where you can continue exploring the area on your own.

Very happy with this tour. Starting with beer was always a plus. Mostly the food was ok but didn’t necessarily tantalise the taste buds but everyone was well and truly full before the end although we all found room for cake and vodka! Our guide Matteus was informative and passionate. He provided a greater understanding of a city and country with a fascinating history. He did so much more than just show us tradional polish fare. All round a great tour!

Our guide Ulka was superb. She was so passionate about Poland, and her enthusiasm rubbed off on the small group. The best thing about this tour is that you get to go to 'real' polish restaurants and cafes and taste authentic food. You visit bars off the beaten track, hidden way, a secret almost kept by the locals to preserve the bars and make them special. We tried 3 excellent kraft beers, bread snacks, smoked cheese, 3 different soup tasters at a different traditional restaurant, and then Pierogi 5 different types including sweet/savoury and some Potato Cakes. And as if that was not enough, we had vodka shots and walnut cake in a delightful bar in Kaziemirz. Superb value for money. Our advertised 2 1/2 hour tour, ended after 4 hours!!!!!! Thanks Ulka for making it special and sharing your knowledge of Krakow with us.

Ulla met us early and gave us a tour of the old town and Jewish district of Krakow. Our first stop was to try a couple of local beers followed by a stop at a local restaurant to sample several Polish soups. Our final stop to the Jewish Disrict for several plates of Perogi. Very informative tour!

I would like to give this tour a 10 if possible! This tour was through Urban Adventures. Matthew was an exceptional guide, so knowledgeable about Krakow, the history of Poland and tied it all to the food we were eating. He was very attentive to the entire group, encouraging camaraderie throughout the tour. A MUST IN KRAKOW!
