Your workshop will begin in central Florence, where you’ll meet your instructor at the studio for your 3-hour lesson. Hear about the methods used by the Italian masters and the history of fresco painting. Fresco technique appeared in the 11th century, and became the form for many masterpieces during the Renaissance, such as Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.
Then, set out to produce your own fresco with the same materials used by the Renaissance greats. No prior skill or experience is required for this workshop, and your instructor will be nearby with hands-on guidance as you create.
Learn how to prepare the surface, transfer your drawing and paint on the wet material. You’ll leave with a masterpiece of your own to take home to remind you of your trip to Florence.
