Depart your central Dubai hotel by air-conditioned coach and enjoy the views as you drive south through the desert to Abu Dhabi.
Along the way, listen as your guide reveals fun facts about Yas Waterworld. Located on artificial Yas Island off the coast of Abu Dhabi, this aquatic extravaganza offers excitement aplenty with some 43 rides, slides and other splashy adventures.
Hear how the attractions are handily grouped into four thrill levels, from Adrenaline Rush for white-knuckle fiends, to the slightly less scary Exciting Adventures and the tamer Moving and Grooving and Young Fun categories ideal for youngsters.
After roughly an hour, pull up at Waterworld, show your entry ticket, and enjoy ample time to enjoy the attractions at your own pace.
If you’re up for serious thrills, head for the Dawwama, the planet’s biggest 6-person tornado waterslide, or tackle the Bandit Bomber, an 1,800-foot (550-meter) coaster with incredible water and laser effects. Alternatively, ride the Bubble’s Barrel, the world’s largest surfable sheet wave; zoom around the Falcon’s Falaj water coaster, or race your friends on the multi-lane Sebag.
For family fun, meanwhile, drift along the lazy river or hunt for treasure courtesy of the Pearlmaster adventure. There’s plenty for kids, too. Watch them slip, slide and splash at the fun Yehal zone or let them loose on the water jets of the Marah Fortress.
Whenever you need a rest, refuel with pastas, pizzas or other treats at the restaurants (own expense) and scout out goodies at the gift and watersports stores.
Later, rejoin your coach and return to Dubai where your day trip finishes with a hotel drop-off.
