Overview

Zoom across the sands on a quad bike and enjoy a barbecue dinner on this 6-hour afternoon trip from Dubai. Travel into the desert by 4x4, board a quad bike and take an adrenalin-racing 1-hour ride. Bump over rugged terrain, zip over dunes and stop to shoot photos of a radiant desert sunset. Then, after a camel ride, head for a beautiful, torchlit desert camp. Here, enjoy some traditional desert activities, and savor a delicious barbecue dinner as you watch glittering belly dancers and ‘tanoura’ artists whirl across the sands.
  • 6-hour afternoon quad bike desert safari and BBQ dinner experience from Dubai
  • Enjoy an exciting quad safari in the desert as the sun starts to set
  • Feel the thrill as you rumble over high and low dunes
  • Admire the views of the dunes and desert just before sundown
  • Visit a Bedouin-style desert camp and enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner under the stars
  • Watch a belly-dancing show and whirling dervish-style tanoura folk dance as you eat
  • Enjoy a camel ride, watch henna artists at work, and get a henna tattoo if you wish
Depart your central Dubai hotel aboard an air-conditioned 4x4. Then, with a professional driver at the wheel, relax as you venture out into the desert around the city.
After roughly 45 minutes on the road, arrive at the quad station and climb on to your rugged, four-wheeled bike. Then, don your provided helmet and gloves; listen to a safety briefing and instructions; and set off on your exciting expedition behind a guide vehicle.
Zip across the soft sands, plough up and down the desert slopes, and as you gain in confidence and skills, tackle steeper dunes and more challenging terrain.
As the afternoon light fades, take a break to shoot photos of the desert sunset, and boost your energy with soda and snacks. Then, after around an hour on your quad, pull up back at base.
Rejoin your 4x4 and continue to a camel farm. Here, view these hardy desert animals and enjoy a camel ride over the sands.
Then, drive on to a Bedouin-style camp hidden into the folds of the dunes. Relax in the torchlit grounds, savor some Arabian coffee and dates and if you wish, smoke a shisha (water pipe).

Duly refreshed, check out the traditional Emirati activities on offer around the camp. See some beautiful sand art, get a henna tattoo on your hands or feet, and later, dig into a generous buffet dinner of tempting Arabic dishes, such as kebabs, hummus and flatbreads, accompanied by soda and water. See the Itinerary for a sample menu.
During your meal, watch a sparkling belly dancing performance, as well as a tanoura show, with whirling dervish-style dancers spinning at dizzying speed.
Finally, enjoy a 4x4 journey back to Dubai where your experience concludes with a hotel drop-off.

Great tour. Camel ride was bogus and I didn’t have high expectations but everything else was great

What a wonderful experience! We had a great time riding those ATVs through the desert for a full hour! The tour guides even stopped for some amazing picture taking! The camel rides were short but fun! There were so many activities at the camp before dinner and the belly dancing, such as souvenir shopping, holding a falcon, henna tattoos, and so forth! I highly recommend this tour! This was the highlight of my trip!

Fantastic all in one experience. You literally get everything you could want out of a dubai desert safari, and its a 330pm pickup so you can enjoy your entire day first. First class all the way.

Excellent experience...would definitely do again!!! Our guide chocolate was a delight. An hour riding four wheelerS in the desert was a blast, and the dinner and entertainment far exceeded our expectations!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This tour allowed us to ride quad bikes for a full hour, unlike a number of other tours that only allow you on the bikes for 15 minutes. The quad bike riding was really fun, easily the best part of the entire experience. Once you finish riding the quad bikes, they take you to a large place with many other tourists for all the other activities. You can take a short camel ride for a few minutes, but you will likely have to wait in line for this, as well as for some of the other activities. The belly dancer and Tanoura dancer were both fun to watch. The grilled chicken skewers and the fish were delicious, and a couple of the curries were decent. The rest of the food was ok edible, but not particularly good.

We did not enjoy ourselves on this tour and were highly disappointed. To begin, it was raining and we should have been offered to cancel or receive a discount but instead we felt like we were being forced to go. Because it was raining, there was not quad riding or camel riding. We did in fact stop to take photos with camels but I felt bad for them, their legs were tied together and they were shivering.

The ride out to the dunes was WAY too long...it just wasn't what we were expecting. There were houses and construction everywhere and we didn't feel like we were in the desert at all.

When we got to the camp, it was very disorganized because of the rain, we all had to sit in a rain soaked tent yes, it was leaking and it was dark and cold. The entertainment was decent but honestly we were just too cold and wet to really enjoy it.

The food was decent but again we had to walk in the rain to get the food and it was incredibly muddy and disorganized.

Because there was no quad riding and/or camel riding, we felt like this was a VERY expensive 2 dinner.

Best of all the essentials to be seen on this tour. Variety is the spice of life and this tour has it all, Quads, Camels, Great Food, Music, Dance, Smoke a Water Pipe, eat dates and drink Arabica coffee in the desert. WOW is all we can say now. Excellent guide who educated us about many Dubai subjects on the drive both ways

I have purchased many tours on Viator. But this one by far takes the cake. We really got our money's worth on this one and it's an excellent way to see another part of Dubai. There were so many more activities then just the ones in the description of this tour.
