From
USD70.00

Make your way to the cruise departure point, Bermuda's Royal Naval Dockyard, at your selected cruise time. When booking, select 10am, 12:30pm, or 2pm.

Once you climb aboard, head for the shipwreck of the 'Vixen' while listening to some informative commentary about the island's history and culture. Through the boat's glass bottom, get views of the reef and the shipwreck itself, then cruise over to the nearby sea grass beds, where transient turtles are known to hang out.

Once the boat drops anchor in just 3 feet (1 meter) of water, grab some of the provided snorkel gear and jump in to explore. You can also wade ashore and beach comb along the shoreline. Climb back aboard the boat and head back to your departure point, listening to island tunes and drinking a rum swizzle from the cash bar.

We were lucky enough to take a family vacation to Bermuda this July and wanted to do one excursion. Originally we were just going to do the glass bottom boat tour, but added in the snorkeling as well. We left out of Dockyard and our tour guide took us out into the Bermuda Triangle :)...we survived.

After that she then brought us to an area where there were sea turtle all over. My 7 year old son was so excited when the little turtles popped their heads up to say hello. We then headed to the bottom of the boat and were able to see corals, sunken ships, and sea life. It was an amazing experience. They also gave us some bread so we could feed some of the fish as they went by the boat. Again another great experience for my children. I have never seen smiles so big.

We then set anchor and we able to go snorkeling; however, the water was a little rough and it had been raining so my 6 and 7 year old were not very thrilled about going into the water where they could not touch the ground. We snorkeled for about 15 minutes when the kids came back on the boat. The tour guide then told my 6 year old that she could jump off the side of the boat and her eyes lit up. She was able to jump into the ocean into my husband's arms a few times. It was exciting for her and scary for me lol.

After a run swizzle or two we headed back to shore. I would recommend this tour to anyone with smaller children. They were very family friendly and made me feel very safe.

Pretty nice snorkel trip. The glass bottom of the boat was dirty or something. It wasn't really easy to see much. There were a large number of sea turtles going to and from the snorkel site. The snorkel site was nice but kinda small. Some really nice and healthy reefs but the location was just a very confined area. Now after the snorkeling was good too! The swizzle rum punch was great and they are more than happy to share their local rum. : Overall, a decent excursion and worth the money.
