Adrian is very informed and thorough, approachable and considerate. His analysis and empathy for what happened in World War II in Normandy is amazing. Go on this tour. And remember that the beaches are very windy.

Tour was great! Tour guide Michael was outstanding. Very personable, engaging and knowledgeable. My friends, family and I enjoyed spending the afternoon with him and seeing the sites. Learned a lot and was able to see a lot. To think what happened where we were standing was very thought provoking. Enjoyed the afternoon and tour. Thanks!

The guide was very knowledgeable and was willing to answer all questions without hesitation. The areas of Normandy covered in the tour was more complete than others I've taken and I couldn't have been happier with the tour-a great value as well.

A four hor tour ended up being a 3.5 hour tor so we could hear taps. I liked hearing taps at the American cemetery but would liked to have moved one visit before taps to after taps so each would not be rushed. Driver was good but in a hurry. L

The D-Day beaches tour was all that it promised to be and more. We were picked-up on time and quickly made our way to our first stop. Our guide, Kate, was knowledgeable, earnest and passionate as she shared details, pictures and little-known facts about the invasion of Europe, June 6, 1944. We had a wonderful adventure and would recommend this Viator tour to anyone interested in D-Day.

Pick up at train station was on time; tour guide was excellent, even helped with place for dinner in Bayeux. Small size of tour in van (8 people) made it very personable. My presence on Omaha Beach was very moving, since my Dad had landed there on D-Day and was wounded just a few days later. GREAT TOUR!

We stayed in Paris, so we took the train to Bayeux that morning and had a wonderful lunch at a cafe near the train station. Ann-Sophie met our tour group in front of the station, and we drove to Pointe du Hoc, where the Army Rangers fought. She told us about the history and the strategies of D-Day, and she pointed out related sites and geography along the way. After Pointe du Hoc, we went to Omaha Beach, where we learned about the story of how the American forces landed. After that, we went to the Normandy American Cemetery. There, Ann-Sophie described some of the monuments and gave us time to walk around. We stayed for the playing of Taps and lowering of the flags before she drove us back to Bayeux. We had told our guide that we wanted to see the Tapestry Museum, so she dropped us off there instead of back at the train station, since it was closing soon. She also made recommendations for dinner.

I loved this tour. Not only was Ann-Sophie friendly and knowledgeable, but she also related events of the second world war with the events of today. Nothing could be more powerful than standing on the beaches where our troops and allies died to stop Hitler and being reminded of the fascist ideas that are regaining popularity today. That is a moment that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

This tour was one of the best I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Our guide Adrienne (sp) not only knew his history, but shared his own personal connections with the Normandy area. The half-day tour was also perfect with my seven-year-old son. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting France. It was well worth the train ride out to Bayeux.

Very humbling experience. We were amazed with how appreciative the locals still are with our sacrifices at Normandy.

The tour was excellent. Our guide was Olivier and he is a local from Bayeux so he knew a lot of history and could answer all of our questions.
