Excellent tour. I would recommend it to anyone. It really enhances your experience and knowledge.
Amazing sights, wonderful history and great guide.
Loved this tour. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed the experience with Angeliki. She's an archeologist too, so it helped with the history and explanations of the sites. The views from the Parthenon were stunning and we were lucky with the crowds and weather. Beautiful place. Loved the Agora too, without Angeliki's explanations, we wouldn't know the significance of the various ruins. It was lovely. The Agora museum was closed for renovations though, which was a pity. We went up to the temple of Hephaestus too. Good tour.
Excellent tour! Our guide was Stavros, who was very knowledgeable about the locations and rather than just explaining what we were seeing, he worked hard to explain their significance and impact on our modern world. This is the place where our modern ideas of democracy and education began, and Stavros helped to put all of this into perspective with our own experiences today. This tour does require a lot of walking, and climbing steep ramps and steps.
This tours was amazing. Artemis, our guide, was knowledgable and went at a great pace. This is worth doing.
The tour was great. Meeting up was fairly chaotic, as there were many different tours all coordinated by the same woman in the same place. You had to kind of be assertive and pay attention to not get left behind. But after that the tour was great and the guide very knowledgeable (or just a good bs'er)
Our tour guide Aristotle was very enthusiastic and really knowledgeable. The tour was well paced with timed breaks in shade. We totally enjoyed the wonderful tour. One input for prospective visitors is to tour the Ancient Agora on a separate tour/at a different time or even on your own, particularly if you are a family with younger kids. The combined trip is a wonderful timesaver but a little too much after an extensive tour of the Acropolis. For reference we went on this tour mid-August and tour start time was a little before noon. The tour was conducted by Athens walking tours.
Excellent tour! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it and were quite impressed with the knowledge and understanding of our guide - a man whose name we have somehow forgotten. He did a wonderful job explaining each of the sites on the way up to the Acropolis as well as the ones on top. We continued with him to the Areopagus and the Agora and he was extremely accommodating and able to answer any and all questions - even spending more time with us that was allotted. And we did indeed skip a VERY long line to get into the Acropolis area. Highly recommended. We would not suggest trying to tour the Acropolis on your own - unless you are an expert, you'll miss too many important locations and historical explanations.
