Miami’s Wynwood district has become a mecca for art lovers and culture seekers. Visitors are drawn to the neighborhood’s ‘Museum of the Streets,’ Wynwood Walls — an outdoor art exhibition featuring 50 artists from 16 different countries, spanning 80,000 square feet of wall.
The project began in 2009 as a way to revitalize the community and bring the bland exterior of the warehouse district to life. Wynwood Walls is now part of one of Miami’s hippest neighborhoods and serves as a art forum for up-and-coming street artists worldwide. Check out upcoming events at outdoor space such as art lectures, artist print signings and special exhibits. Take a stroll through the Walls and then meander past Wynwood Doors, a smaller-scale mural project. After working up an appetite, grab a bite at nearby Wynwood Kitchen & Bar.
Wynwood Walls is located in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami, Florida between Joey’s Café and Wynwood Kitchen & Bar. The outdoor art exhibit is open daily to the public, free of charge.
