A tour of the Gibson Guitar Factory allows for a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into making one of the highest quality guitar brands in the world. Visitors get a glimpse at the production process and may even have the chance to see the Luthiers at work. The many stages of building a guitar, from binding to buffing and painting, can all be seen at work here. About 65 guitars are made here daily, although the process takes approximately three weeks from start to finish, and tours grant insight into the past, present, and future of these popular musical instruments.
Visiting the factory means not only seeing the facilities but also the many tools used to shape and tune the famous guitars. The Gibson Factory Store presents an opportunity to try out several of the guitars and view Gibson merchandise, including finished instruments.
