Edgar Allan Poe House & Grave Tours

For literature fans, entering the little rowhouse preserved as the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum is a thrilling experience.

The famous author lived in the 5-room house in the 1830s, and a visit to the museum provides an atmospheric glimpse into the daily life of bygone times.

Edgar Allan Poe lies buried in nearby Westminster Hall Cemetery, originally in an unmarked grave. A monument to Poe was erected in 1875, 26 years after his death.

The grave of Edgar Allan Poe is in Westminster Hall Cemetery a few streets away to the east, on the corner of Greene and Fayette Streets.
